Read about Coach Fidel's commitment to wrestling in a great article written by the Folsom Telegraph - Mad Dawgs a labor of love for Fidel
Established in 1995 and for over 20 years, the Mad Dawg Wrestling Club program has successfully prepared young wrestlers for the rigors of Prep level competition. Open to all of the Sacramento area wrestling community, our wrestling club is responsible for training some of the most successful wrestlers in the region. We have trained more League champions, SJS Masters champions, and California CIF State wrestling qualifiers/placers than any other program. Elite wrestlers from hours away have traveled to our room to get in solid training time with some of Northern California's best. Training is held in the renowned Folsom High School Varsity wrestling room, home of the 8x League Champions and 2x D1 - SJS Section Wrestling Champions. Expert instruction is provided by passionate and experienced collegiate level Head Coaches and former Alumni/Prep wrestlers.
Instruction is geared toward all levels – beginner through veteran wrestlers. Coach Fidel and his assistants stress proper wrestling technique and conditioning (i.e., stretching, running, weight lifting, etc.). Athletes have the option to compete in local wrestling tournaments (details regarding competition will be discussed at practices).
